ucla_bag by you.

In honor of the upcoming holiday on Monday, I decided to gussy up some Target bargains (hello $1.75 canvas tote bag!) with the perfect accessories: Bruins!

Did you know that you can use your ink jet printer to print DIRECTLY ONTO FABRIC? I had no idea until I decided to try out the amazing freezer paper printing technique for myself! It worked perfectly and I ended up printing out some lovely Joe Bruin’s onto crisp white fabric. Now, I’m just sewing them onto the bag like patches with some white embroidery thread.

I only wish I could be at the Rose Bowl on Monday to show off my creation… looks like I’ll have to cheer my boys on from the local pub and hope Mr. M refrains from wearing orange.

This rocks my friggin world. I’m seeing a frayed edge logo, hand stitched joe bruin teeshirt in my near future.

OMG. So not. Just saying it out loud I laugh at the thought of me spending 16 hours making a teeshirt. :) But it sounds SO FUN! Although…No washing allowed?

Heck yeah washing is allowed! :) The trick is making sure your color ink is the super awesome waterproof type. I bought the Vivera ink for HP, and so far my water experiments have worked!

All my tags I use to sew into my handbags are printing from my inkjet. I never thought about making sure the ink was waterproof.
