water balloon candle holders?

Water Balloon Luminaries

If I told you these candle luminaries were made from water balloons, would you believe me?

Would it make more sense if I told you that you needed to DIP a water balloon in high-melt paraffin wax to create these lovelies? Well… you do! And let me tell you, this idea is much prettier than those milk carton ice candles I made back in the day!

All of the instructions (& photos) are here.

I’m feeling a holiday present idea creeping upon me…

Wow, where do you find all these totally cool ideas?? I can’t wait to see your holiday gifts this year. Last year, I loved the etched wine glasses you did!

@Kelly – In too many dark corners on the web? :) I have lots of unused favor boxes from our wedding that need to be filled with something … so we shall see.

Oo, how pretty! I’ve never worked with paraffin, though; it seems a bit daunting. You must post photos if you make them!
