what's on my desk … 10.15.08

Sometimes I miss practicing my handwriting. I was able to brush up on my skills during “wedding time” thanks to a need for lots of calligraphy, but rarely get write slowly anymore. This week, with my calligraphy materials close at hand in my craft desk, I decided to practice a bit. I really love my spiral bound Calligrapher’s Bible for learning new styles, and one can never have enough practice paper!
In case you’d like to jump into calligraphy for the fun of it, all you’ll really need is a felt tip calligraphy nibbed pen. And you can download the little intro kit I received during my first formal calligraphy class. Then you can print out as much practice paper as you need!

How did you read my mind that this has been one of those things that I’ve been dying to get into?!
@Kim – it must be a Kimberly thing?
It’s really not difficult at all… just practice intensive!
Wow, graph paper just excited me.
@leah – LOL!!!
Now that’s one thing I’d love to be able to do.
@Kirsty – It’s truly not that hard to try!
