gilt-y for the first time
So I went ahead and did it… I made my first Gilt purchase last week. I have a wedding to attend next week, and when I saw this Cynthia Rowley dress… I knew it was perfect. I’ve long been a fan of the cut-out-shoulder look since Julia Roberts sported it in Notting Hill when her character starred in Helix… and I realize how wonderfully it disguises my well-sized shoulders.
As far as Gilt goes, it was a great process all the way along. It arrived about a week after my order, nicely packed on its hanger in a flat box via UPS. All it needs is a little bit of steam and it will be ready for its debut in Manhattan (Beach that is).

SUPER CUTE! Love it, can’t wait to see the pics of you in it!
LOVE the dress. Tres chic and a great color to boot!
You don’t have any spare invites for the gilt site do you? I’d love to check it out, but says you need to be invited by a current member
Thanks!!
@Tali – I’ll send one ASAP!
You’re awesome. Thanks!
Oooh, that’s gorgeous! Planning to post pics of you in the dress? When is the wedding?
@StefK – I will definitely post photos!
The wedding is next Saturday… the last one of the season!
I LOVE the color! I am definitely not tall and thin enough for the dress, but on the right person, it is striking because it’s so unique — I love that it’s not the standard strapless cocktail dress that everyone seems to wear to weddings these days!
I haven’t made any Gilt purchases myself — but glad to hear that the process is smooth, should anything strike my fancy (and actually be in my price range).
Oooh, now that is a purchase to give up your gilt v-card for!
@leah – LOL @ gilt v-card
FAB! i still have yet to gilt. the fact that i only have one lonesome $25 credit makes it not so enticing. can’t wait to see pics!
@Sandy – Aww…. but that credit could just put something into the “affordable” range!
ABsolutely stunning. What a fabulous purchase!
