before & after: the bark

Memphis asked to be in the photo today to help you gauge the appropriate size of the current bark pile. It’s actually been that way since Wednesday night at 7:30, but my left arm/shoulder was too sore to hold a camera steady to take the picture. The four cubic yards of bark is in the backyard… almost the exactly perfect amount to fill in everywhere… and I did it all by myself (I have the bruises & blisters to prove it!) in the 95 degree heat… I must be crazy.

As for the wheelbarrow loads?  42 was the magic number. No wonder I’m still hurting!
