jonesing for a template: DIY jones soda bottle labels

original on the left… my design on the right

More than two years later, I still get tons of pleading requests for my Jones soda template from brides to be and anyone else wishing to add some flair to their party (via WeddingBee). I relabeled regular Jones soda with my custom designed labels and we used them as favors for our rehearsal dinner. Sadly, I cannot share much of my design with people, since I essentially recreated the exact same design/words/fonts/logo for our personal use. Any sharing on my part might lead to a big ‘ol load of corporate trouble, which I’m just not willing to jump into via my generosity.

But, when people do make requests for the file, I share with them the generic black/white template that they can start off with to make their own Jones-esque soda label. While it has no fonts on it, it’s at least a jumping off point if you need a template to build from. If you’d like to experiment on your own, you can download the PDF file below and edit it as you wish!

    Hello,

Thank you very much for posting the template to make a label for Jones Soda bottles. I tried clicking the link and it just takes me to the main mediafire.com page. Either I am doing something wrong or the file is no longer available. I’ve looked everywhere for a template like this. Could you please repost the file or email it to me directly. That would be very helpful. Thank you so much.

Where did you buy blank soda bottles? Jones won’t send blank bottles. I was thinking about this as a favor as well but don’t want just one photo!

I didn’t ! I bought JONES soda bottles and then removed the labels and then reprinted my own.

Just printed them using a laser printer on a glossy-style of laser paper! Nothing fancy at all! :) They didn’t get wet though, so there was no need to have waterproof paper.

Did you use the full sheet laser paper and trim them down to size? Did you use one sheet per label? I want to get my labels wet, so I was going to buy full sheets of the waterproof paper. Thanks much!!! :)

Yep! I used a normal piece of 8.5×11 paper for these. Unfortunately the label is too big to double up 2 onto one page, so just one label a page. :)
