and this is what Christmas day looked like…
When we came down the stairs, this was sitting in front of the fireplace.
“Is this what I’m supposed to do, Dad?”
“I’m still a bit confused? Help me out here? It is 8:00am, you know?”
“Oh! I press this and the balls come out? Nifty!”
Santa Paws visited overnight as well…bringing treats to Boston Terriers around the globe.
And it looks like Santa left Baby M a Boston Terrier toy as well!”
Time to read by the firelight…
… and stare at the lights and rain outside.
I can help open some presents too!
Or… just put them on my head.
This whole present thing was a lot of fun!
But… it’s naptime. I’ll rest a bit while dinner is prepared by all those big people.

Then Boxing Day arrives… and conveniently we left one box under the tree. And it’s…. a puppy!

I can tell I’m a parent, because I saw the first photos and immediately thought “Ooh, a Busy Ball Popper!” Two years ago, I definitely could not have identified a Busy Ball Popper by sight. (Never even seen one in person, but I’ve browsed my share of baby toys on Amazon….)
And finally, I didn’t know that you had a Boston Terrier. Have you ever seen the adorable Boston Terrier items by Cuore on Etsy? I keep putting them in my Favorites folder, then removing them because I have absolutely no connection to the breed and fear it would be weird to have a random stuffie.
