*these are recipes that have become staples in our household and make it into the rotation frequently

Here’s a wonderfully easy recipe to make at home on any weeknight of your choosing! If you’re like me, you truly value the ability to “measure and dump” after a long Tuesday and still end up with something homemade and yummy. Moms will like it for the fast prep and quick cooking, so you might just be able to gobble down dinner before munchkins head to bed!

When I stumbled upon this recipe two years ago, it was just to make normal regular sized burgers. But sometimes you want something easy and fun to eat… so I decided to transform them into little sliders so that I could use my favorite buns (King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls) in place of regular ‘ol hamburger buns. This way, you can dress your sliders as you want and add a little bit of variety to the mix if you so choose!

Thai Turkey Burger Sliders (makes 8 sliders)

1 package of lean ground turkey (~ 1 lb)
1 carrot, shredded
3-4 green onions, minced
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp chili garlic sauce
2 tbsp natural peanut butter
freshly ground salt & pepper
1/2 tsp ground ginger

King’s Hawaiian Sweet rolls (or your choice of bun)
Toppings of your choice (chili/cilantro mayo, mixed greens, Sriracha, etc.)

Step 1: round up all of your ingredients!

Step 2: Dump them all in a mixing bowl. Smoosh together with a fork, spoon or your hands.

Step 3: Form small patties from your turkey mixture. Cook on a medium-high grill for about 3 minutes per side (making sure it’s cooked through!).

Step 4: Slide them into their buns and “dress” them up with your favorite toppings! Maybe some cilantro-chili mayo (chop up fresh cilantro, and mix it up with some mayo and chili-garlic sauce), Sriracha, mixed salad greens? Or, you can be a plain ‘ol girl like me!
