a silly trip in February

Port Orleans French Quarter fountain by rtphokie

This weekend, Mr. M and I booked a silly week-long escape to….
Disney World!  They put into play a ridiculously well-priced “Buy 4 days, get 3 free” deal this past weekend for all trips from January-June and when we looked at the prices, we jumped at the chance to go! We’re staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter resort, since our first choice, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, is undergoing renovations on their savannas.

It will be my 2nd trip and Mr. M’s first — even though we’re both Disneyland enthusiasts. And with all that time, we’ll be able to both relax and have fun frolicking and roller-coastering and smiling.

So if you have any super “must see/do” tips, let me know! Mr. M is already excited about the refillable mugs at the resort and drinking unlimited Coke. And you thought we were two grown-ups!?! Bah!

There’s no place like Disney! It’s such an escape from reality-I’m jealous! Never been to Disneyworld, so I have no recs there, but have fun!

Also have no tips, but am jealous. That sounds like SO much fun. We’ve been trying to find the money/reason/time/etc to go to DisneyLAND…Disneyworld would be awesome.

Jealous. I wish I would have known about that deal since we are hoping to get to Disneyland for our 1 year anniversary. Chris has never been and said “why not just go to Disneyworld?” I suggested we hit up the “land” first but had I known this, we would have gone for the world!!!

I am so jealous! My fiance and I are huge Disney fans… we’ll even be taking our engagement pictures at Disneyland.

we went for our honeymoon in may 08, and we think we’ll head back for our one year this next summer… particularly with this new deal! it’s fabulous!! :)

we stayed at port orleans – riverside… also a lovely resort! we’re hoping to try boardwalk inn this time around.

if you want a total splurge dinner, try artist’s point at the wilderness lodge… the buffalo there is AMAZING. gorgeous atmosphere as well. it was our most expensive meal, but it was soo worth it!
