crazy

so about that tv set-up…

.
I said I’d explain the TV set-up earlier this week… so here it is! Yes, that’s right. Three TVs on a wall. The center TV for your main action, and the two on each side for whatever else you’d like your brain to overload on.
.
For Saturdays and Sundays, this usually means 2 games on 2 TVs with the third reserved for a score summary/ESPNews channel. Of course, last Sunday, we did have 3 games going on all at once (thank you NFL Sunday Ticket). Three games = deafening silence. There’s no way anyone can figure out what to focus on, comment on, or even cheer for. It’s utterly amazing.
.
Of course, the other wonderful highlight of this set-up comes into play during “video game” season as well. Mr. M can set-up camp on the couch and play HALO: Reach while I watch MNF on the surrounding TVs. A good arrangement for everyone.
.

[excuse the cords… they’re not yet hidden like the center TV]
.
As for how this all came to be? Well, on Sundays in the past, we’d lug the living room TV (on the right) up the stairs and sit it on an old TV stand for 2 TV viewing on game day. Last year, I made the comment that we should just go all the way and buy another TV and mount them on both sides. Mr. M laughed at me, until he realized I was serious. I mean, I was a “crazy pregnant lady” last fall, but I figured that our days of hitting up a sports bar were over, so why not recreate it in the ultimate den?
.
So all we did was purchase an additional 32″ TV for the left side (if you have keen eyes, you’ll notice that they are not the same TV… because I’m not THAT crazy to need them to be super identical for an additional $500), and wall mounted them upstairs. And now all the TVs in our house are in one loving spot…
.
Happy weekend sports watching everyone!
