#reverb10 – day 18

December 18 – Try.

What do you want to try next year? Is there something you wanted to try in 2010? What happened when you did / didn’t go for it?

(Author: Kaileen Elise)

I think I’ll try defying gravity.

Sorry, sorry. That’s literally the first thing that came to my mind when I thought, “What do I want to try?” Guess someone needs to stay off of Sirius Radio’s “On Broadway” channel. :)

I want to try running again. It may sound silly, but I’m an utter and complete running failure. I often blame my knee for its incompetence in this area, but it’s such a dumb thing not to be able to do. And maybe it’s not running a lot, but just being able to do it at all would be great. And outside – not on a bouncy treadmill. I should be able to run a mile without dying – or else I guess I’m just dead if a zombie invasion occurs, because even if they’re slow moving zombies, I’d be eaten alive.

I think I tried lots of things in 2010 and some were winners and others were losers. I failed at quilting. I succeeded in the kitchen on lots of things. And I still haven’t figured out a faster way to get my clothes from my laundry hamper into the laundry. But… I keep trying…

I’ll be your running buddy! Since I’m starting from scratch. You might just have to wait until March or April.

We can run at lunch together, or after we pick up our cutie pies from daycare ;)

I’m a running failure sort of as well…more like I just don’t enjoy it much anymore so I give up and then when I get back into it, I have to start all over again. So frustrating. I’ll be eaten by the zombies as well.

I tried this past year to get into running as well. I lasted a few months and then a sprained ankle set me back. Once I healed up, I felt like I was starting from scratch again with my endurance, which was pretty discouraging. I’d rather do a fun step class at the gym for exercise!
